General Information and Return Policy for Nicolette Wales Fine Art Studio

Thank you for investing in original art. You are supporting an independent artist.  Please read my return policy carefully to ensure that you have an enjoyable shopping experience.

1. Eligibility for Returns:

Original Artwork: Due to the unique and often one-of-a-kind nature of original artwork, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges for original pieces unless they arrive damaged.

Edition Prints: Edition prints can be returned within 14 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return, the print must be in its original condition and packaging.

2. Damaged or Defective Items:

In the unfortunate event that your original artwork arrives damaged, please contact us within 5 business days of receiving the item. We may request photographs of the damage for assessment.

For damaged edition prints, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order. We will arrange for a return or replacement.

3. Return Process:

To initiate a return, please contact my studio with your contact email or phone number and your order number, details of the item, and the reason for the return.

For original artwork, we will provide instructions on how to return the item. Return shipping costs for damaged originals will be covered by us.

For edition prints, customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is deemed damaged or defective.

4. Refund, Replace or Exchange:

Original Artwork: If your original artwork is damaged during shipping and cannot be replaced, we will issue a full refund.

Edition Prints: Upon receiving the returned edition print in its original condition, we will process a refund to the original payment method. Exchanges are subject to availability. 

*The edition print sales are fulfilled by a carefully selected print supplier, so there is a separate additional transaction between us  [my studio, the customer, and the printer]  for the fulfillment costs related to returns. 

This is how that affects returns & refunds of prints:

In the unlikely event the art print arrives damaged, I will send a replacement free of charge. To arrange this, please contact us at info@nicolettewales.com or use the chat icon at the bottom right of this page.

We only offer refunds if the product arrives damaged or is significantly delayed (postage delays which could be considered normal, or delays due to items being held up in customs will not be refunded). 

What constitutes a significant time delay is at [our] discretion.

In either case, for prints to be refunded we may need to request a photo and the return of the products so that we can examine and dispose of them. The returns in these cases will be at our cost, and refunds can be withheld until the returns are received by us.   ©nicolettewales 2024

5. Cancellations:

Once an order is placed for original artwork, it cannot be canceled or refunded.

Edition print orders can be canceled within 24 hours of purchase. After this time, the standard return policy applies.
